About Us

The Highland County Land Reutilization Corporation (HCLRC), or “Land Bank”, was incorporated in 2017 with the purpose of revitalizing and strengthening our communities by returning vacant and abandoned properties to productive use throughout Highland County. A number of blighted, abandoned, and/or tax-delinquent properties have had an adverse effect on our neighborhoods, but the Land Bank can help to preserve property values through the demolition of these structures. We are working in cooperation with municipalities and townships to identify properties and provide a strategic response to addressing the blight and returning these properties to productive use through a transparent, public, and community-oriented process.
